“Number one: Stop having children with people who don’t support them”

“Number one: Stop having children with people who don’t support them”

Dave Ramsey is a financial advisor with a radio call in program.

In this case, the caller is an unmarried woman who has three children, all of whom were fathered by the same man, who is an abusive, illegal alien and an identity thief, and who does not pay any child support.

Ramsey starts out his response with the following:

“Number one: Stop having children with people who don’t support them”

Here’s my take on this woman’s behavior:

George Carlin was right when he said the following:

“Think of how stupid the average person is, and then realize half of ’em are stupider than that.”

Well, at least she had 'em with one man. I've come across some that have a souvenir from EVERY man they've spread their legs for.

Having kids with people who write blogs is also a bad idea.

Most poor people these days are poor because of very poor decision-making. It’s a reason why not to associate too closely with most poor people.

Somewhere along the sixth grade....there ought to be a class on decision-making, economics, budget-making, and financial management.

When the liberal rats in government and the feminazis introduced a free ticket to these women of irresponsibility, we will take care of you! the responsibility was now on the tax payers. This is bullsh##!

Agreed.

That “class” used to be called “You want an Allowance? Ha ha ha ha . . . go clean your room.”, a “Paper Route”, or after school “Hi Mr Jones, can I cut your lawn for you?” education.

Are parents not supposed to teach their kids anything?

Make them serious readers and they can figure all that out themselves.

And of course they can look any of that up on youtube.

Dave Ramsey smacked that woman upside the head with a heaping helping of Captain Obvious!

DANG!

In some circles today you are talking child abuse as it hurts their self esteem to be made to do anything useful.

Your “can I cut your lawn for you” was one of my first paying jobs at around 12 or 13. I used Dad’s rider to cut the school football field at a dollar an hour. I graduated to farm work, and at 16 drove a grain truck out of state with no drivers license.

As a teen Mom & Dad would let me have any toy I wanted (motor cycle, snowmobile, car) as long as I paid for it.

This early work ethic and financial management training allowed me to retire comfortably.

How I was raised would be child abuse today.

As a young boy Dad gave spankings and I never hated him for it. Again, today that’s child abuse. Kids are actually encouraged to hate parents for disciplining them in any fashion.

You better be careful. Sounds like you’re espousing personal responsibility and that will get you into trouble PDQ.
I can remember when almost every topic you named was taught as a class in junior or senior high school.

But the dem party encourages that as a way of increasing the number of its biggest voting block which it tells that its problems are caused by Whitey, not by its own foolish actions.

Schools to teach economics and personal responsibility?

Shirley, you jest!

Public schools, and the teacher unions and democrat politicians that run the schools, don't want independent people. Witness all the school lunch programs, telling people someone else (government handouts paid by taxpayers) will feed your kids, 2-3x per day.

Also, witness the savings rates of adults in this country, it is not very good. Heck, almost ALL government, fed, state and local, are poorly managed in their finances.

Not pounding on you, pepsionice! You have many valuable posts on FR. I am just a frustrated old guy who wants and expects better from my fellow Americans.

Such a course would be labeled as "teaching whiteness".

What is labeled as "whiteness" is simply the basics of how responsible people act.

It’s not just this woman

It is as simple as this. Throughout millennia until birth control took over becoming the main focus of the culture, women, as a rule, women married first, before having marital relations, and married only on the basis of a man being capable, ready and willing to support her and their family

As a rule.

It worked, too. The divorce rate skyrocketed in tge mid seventies, after this started and now we have a majority of kids growing up with single parents. Single mothers.

We can say the economy is so good right now. But these families struggle. They’re broken.

“Somewhere along the sixth grade....there ought to be a class on decision-making, economics, budget-making, and financial management.”

What makes you think that’s early enough? When the young adults that are stuck in sixth grade due to not trying to graduate are old enough to procreate and are taught how in kindergarten classes, you may be a little late there.
