The DC Cover-up That’s As Big As Spygate…

_______

Former U.S. Attorney for DC, Jessie Liu, is scheduled for a Senate confirmation hearing this upcoming Thursday at 10:00am. There’s also an unreported background story connected to the DOJ, Rod Rosenstein and Ms. Liu so controversial, it’s as big as Spygate.

Oh, it's obvious when you explain it. I suspect that some suspects have been stuffed in the back of a paddy wagon occasionally...

And of course, "stuffed in the paddy wagon" sounds like a euphemism anyway...

The question I have is why President Trump has picked her? Is it to put her under oath to delve into this issue? Or is it just another Deep State pick that someone has convinced President Trump that he should select her?

_____________

I do not have the answers to those questions.

It seems to me that only the actual participants and a few others know.

Maybe the Lord himself may know.

In that case I must do some inquiring.

I suspect the Republican members of the gang of eight do have embarrassing episodes from the Obama years that they would prefer not come to light, but not crimes, per se.

What I am referring to is a naive culture of political appeasement that I believe overtook Republican leadership in the early years of the Obama administration wherein they wanted to demonstrate their bipartisan willingness to “reach across the aisle” and transcend party politics, in the interest of “serving the greater good”.

John McCain was the cultural leader of this GOP political appeasement movement - basically he became Barack Obama’s bitch after being beaten by him in 2008. Who could forget his first act of Obama appeasement around the time of his defeat, when he lectured Republican voters that we “should not fear an Obama Presidency”?

It was condescending and accusatory - basically he was calling us racists for voting against Obama, and assuring us that Obama was a uniter, not a divider. Many of us who had only voted for him because of Sarah Palin realized at that moment that John McCain was actually proud of Obama winning - he actually believed the better man won in 2008! What a loser!

Obviously, this is all just my opinion, but I recognize this “culture of political appeasement” from my days as a corporate executive - the same type of cultural shifts would happen when the composition in the board of directors would change, they would appoint a new CEO, and a new era of cooperation would ensue, in which the various factions would overcome their differences, etc., etc.. It was always bullshit.

Anyway, I’m pretty sure Republicans in the McCain camp were bending over backwards - looking the other way - kissing Obama’s butt - and in some cases overlooking blatant violations of policy and protocol - in order to assure the public (the media) that they too wanted “hope and change”. They were totally taken advantage of.

I think THAT is what Lindsay Graham, Burr, Sessions and other Republicans are embarrassed about, and what they would rather not have come to light - I don’t think they were involved in outright crimes. I don’t think they knowingly covered up crimes. But I do think they were played by the Democrats, over and over again, and were often made unwitting participants in Democrat funny business, in the name of fast-tracking, cooperation, and expediency.

Probably Lindsey Graham feels like a total fool at this point, but he is also probably mad as hell about it, now that he realizes what the Democrats were up to - and what he and McCan were letting them get away with.

If push comes to shove, I think Lindsey Graham will let the truth come out, even though it will reveal what utter fools and Obama bitches he and his bro’ McStain were all those years.

JMHO

I hope Nunes is right. Reading thru this thread, I am left wondering who talked the President into nominating this bitch.
