If you look back through the thread you’ll see a subtext of implied thought throughout - as there always is in threads like these. You can characterize it as a criticism of ‘culture’ if you like; but many of the comments come across as sneering criticism of a race - and I believe a lot of them are intended to be. It’s so predictable and redundant on these types of threads that one can only think that some people here take great pleasure in posting these little ‘digs’. (I don’t see many of them posting thoughtful responses, like yours - and I might be interested in that. But they just enjoy getting their self-congratulatory ‘dig’ in.)
Bad behavior is bad behavior. For instance, we have plenty of white women and girls who - if they aren’t breaking out in brawls - have been conducting themselves like complete sluts for a couple of generations now. It’s due to the same breakdown in culture that has led to these black girls acting in the way that they do in this video.
Karl Spooner, in post 47 facetiously stated that, ‘White supremacists started the whole thing.’ I would agree with him, if he equates ‘white supremacist’ with ‘white elite liberal’. It was white people who had the major responsibility for keeping our culture intact at the time, and fell down on it - some for purposes of political power, and some because they were intimidated, or stupid, or weren’t paying attention

When I was a kid, a lot of us – girls and old people included – were beat-up by a bunch of ‘good boy’ brothers in the neighborhood – white boys, who played ‘altar boy’ in the Catholic church on Sunday, and terrorized the neighborhood the rest of the week.
Their mother was a drunk and their father a mean bully. But in those days people like that - black OR white - were the exception, because we had a broad society of responsible people; and most of the white kids AND the black kids were well-behaved and came from intact families.
Who broke that down? And what are all these snide comments about ‘Amish’ and ‘I didn’t have to look’ doing to help things?
Snide remarks about “Amish” do not bother me in this era of “White privilege”, “America was founded on racism”. “Whites need to disappear”. A little humorous push back can be expected.
Some of the comments may not be seen as ‘humorous’ from outside.
I’ve always thought that we were trying to *build* something, here; and a lot of that requires trying to understand how others may see us.

Why must folks here always equate about race
The lack of marrying is the way the black race has been worldwide and yes I’ve been worldwide working in black countries from Haiti to Jamaica to west Africa
It’s the same in Brazil ....or Colombia
Blacks less likely than whites to actually marry
For a time during slavery when permitted and after slavery ended blacks for many reasons....maybe church being the main one....emulated the habits of the white populace in regards to marriage ....jumping the broom as you may recall

And no doubt welfare hurt that
But marriage while a facet of western Christian civilization never took hold in more primitive civilizations for a myriad of reasons
Marriage in Africa today is more likely found in Christian areas....where it flourishes and Muslim areas
Nigeria which has both also has a high marriage rate and low cohabitation sans marriage rate....lower than ours
