With all this focus on Benedict Romney no one is talking about the 49 other Democrat senators also voted to convict a president of nothing.

We expect it from democrats. We have spoken about them quite regularly.
Yeah, Mitch gave a speech how the senate is the protector of the institutions and constitution... and yet the democratic senators didn’t heed his sound words and voted to convict. They certainly didn’t protect the constitutional clause that said high crimes and misdemeanors. So Mitt is lumped in with the senators that voted against the constitution. What a stupid vindictive bastard.

Yep, Mitt doesn’t even realize he’s just a useful tool for the Democrats. They were all worried about THEIR next election when they were impeaching and along comes old Mitt to take 100% of the heat for them.

Mitt says he voted his conscience. Is he saying the 52 other Republicans have no conscience? Who’s judging whom now?
Expect Mitt to pull a Jim Jeffords, and become a Democrat, if the Senate is tied 50/50 after the 2020 election. Having given the Dems a 51/49 majority he’ll spend the rest of his term blocking Trump’s agenda before retiring from the Senate and leaving Utah, just as he did Massachusetts.

Had either Impeachment” charge been even a little bit valid, I’d excuse a R for voting for it. But, Romney is bright enough to have realized he was voting for a completely bogus charge, and one which wasn’t impeachable even had it been true. (Indeed, had the allegation been true, his conduct would have been consistent with both the US Constitution and our crime - investigation treaty law with Ukraine , said treaty having been negotiated and proudly adopted in 1999 by the William Clinton administration). So, I conclude that Romney is a jerk.

A. Pirro is expressive, articulate and passionate. She looks marvelous, as the saying goes. She is great for TV.
B. Glenn Beck is the one who explained “Fabian Socialists” to me, years ago on his Fox News show while using his scribbled up Whiteboard. Rarely is that term ever brought up.
