Really? Seems to me that Romney is an Elder in the church and BTW, Pelosi was told by John Paul II that she was out of the Catholic church due to her positions on many things the church didn’t agree with.
Even religious groups can have smarmy or even corrupt people in leadership positions. The present pope comes to mind. I can’t find anything that says Pelosi was ex-communicated, only that she might’ve been warned.
