The American people have the former national security advisor to blame for the presence of the self-serving brothers on the National Security Council staff.
During his four decades as an accumulator of power in the nation’s capital, a holder of high offices in the State Department, and finally a stint as President Trump’s national security adviser, John Bolton has been well known for his scrupulous attention to the hiring and firing of his staff.
He always has demanded unwavering personal loyalty as well as fealty to his own—not his president’s—policy agenda. He has performed the most rigorous vetting on all who have been selected to serve on his various staffs...[snip]

Most of this government has done NOTHING,absolutely NOTHING, since POTUS Trump was elected!

I haven’t forgot Project for a New America Century (PNAC), the “need for a Pearl Harbor event” to invade Iraq, the 9-11 attack, and neither should all Americans. The coup against America started long before Trump. Bolton and other neocons were in the thick of it.

You may have read that the ALLEGED whistleblower had formerly worked as McMaster's personal aide, and also that Vindman MAY have leaked to ALLEGED whistleblower Ciaramella, but again, those were separate incidents.

Just imagine what he can accomplish in a second administration after more of them are exposed and culled!

Now we have the deciding perspective on (1) why Bolton WANTED to be a “witness” at the Senate’s impeachment trial and (2) why the Dims want him there; he’s likely been in on it from the beginning.

The $64K question is why we have naturalized citizens in so many key federal positions. And all the more reason to move government to the heartland, away from the migrant-centric culture of the coasts, out to where ‘normal’ people live.
Sorry to say, but my recollection is that there were a LOT of Bolton fans here on FR at the time he was brought into the administration. What do those fans have to say now?
Many of us paleocons and many libertarians have expressed deep concerns about Bolton for years, primarily because he illustrates the authoritarian core of neoconservatism in foreign policy. Like many authoritarians, he is a sociopath and a Macchiavellian. Why anyone is surprised that Bolton has betrayed Trump, I have no idea.
Did Bolton vote for Trump? My guess is, he voted for Hillary or McMullen. He’s a perfect fit for Hillary.
Nope, ain’t going to look back. They are Obamunists and Steve Bannon tried to bounce Ciaramella.
Who was keeping him on the NSC?
It wasn’t John Bolton. He wasn’t even around then.
