It seems like a decent lawyer would have had Flynn out of this debacle a while ago this Powell seems to like the publicity. Flynn himself seems kinda dumb to

Consider a few facts.

The case has only been ongoing for three years, not a decade.

For the first 23 months of the case, Flynn had lawyers who appear to have actively cooperated with the prosecution, without telling Flynn.

Powell has had the case 13 months.

Powell has done more for General Flynn in those 13 months, than his previous lawyers did in the previous two years. Much of what Powell has had to do, was undo the damage done by previous counsel.

National review Jan 29, 2020. in the filing about withdrawing his guikty plea, Flynn said the DOJ campaign including threatening his son. Also said his prior firm had conflict of interest. DOJ told prior firm to discuss with him, which they never did (FARA).

Dan the judge throw out the entire case-—with Prejudice— on his own?

He certainly has seen enough bad faith on the part of the “FBI”.

I also do not understand WHY the FBI is still using ‘interviews followed up by written forms saying what the FBI agents think they heard’.

With the wide array of electronic audio & video available to interviewers, nothing should be ‘written after the interview is over’.

If a case is dismissed, it is usually for lack of evidence.

If a case is dismissed “with prejudice” it means that the case was so bad you could go after the accusing party for damages the allegation caused (usually legal expenses)

I am not a lawyer, I don’t even play one on TV... but I think that’s correct.

Sidney Powell? Lacks legal acumen? Well if I ever had to have a lawyer lacking “legal acumen” I’d hire her in a New York minute!!

This case should have been thrown out and the FBI individuals tried instead.

Wasn’t the problem or one of them, was he was lobbying for a truckish organization that was on the bad guys list? I haven’t followed this to closely. Flynn was trying to monetize his military experience. What did he actually end up pleading guilty too? His lawyers really did that how are they not in hot water and why did he pay them? Very screwy

Give him a billion dollars.

And make the DOJ criminals pay it all back by making license plates.

His previous lawyers may be in hot water.

Flynn did not know they were cooperating with the FBI on the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

Powell noted in Wednesday’s motion that Flynn’s former defense team at Covington & Burling, a well known Washington D.C. law firm, failed to inform Flynn that their lawyers had made “some initial errors or statements that were misunderstood in the FARA registration process and filings.” She also reaffirmed her position in the motion that government prosecutors are continuing to withhold exculpatory information that would benefit Flynn.

“Government counsel specified Mr. Flynn’s liability for ‘false statements’ in the FARA registration, and he told Covington to discuss it with Mr. Flynn,” states the motion. “This etched the conflict in stone. Covington betrayed Mr. Flynn.”

Flynn has to get out of the current dilemma before he can go after them.

Flynn plead guilty to one count of lying to the FBI. Now he is attempting to retract that plea.

Dismissed with prejudice means that the case is dismissed permanently. Dismissed without prejudice means that the plaintiff (government, in this case) can file and bring the case again.

It that all that it means?
why would a case that was dismissed ever be brought back in?
I have had 2 cases dismissed. And neither one was ever brought back, and the prosecutor looked pissed.
