I think the problem is loss of advertising dollars. Few people are watching the impeachment, which means the networks are losing money.
The delicious part of that is if the networks attempt to use the excuse of “no one is watching”, then they will be implicitly admitting that the American people don’t care about the impeachment.
So, the Democrat argument gets wall to wall coverage, and the Republican defense gets absolutely no coverage, and you think it’s due to viewership rates?
The MSM doesn’t make decisions like this based on viewership. If that was the case CNN would be off the air completely.

Make no mistake about this.... in a socialist country, the media is OWNED by the state. In this country it is OWNED by the democrats.... PERIOD.
Once the socialist democrats have all 3 branches of the federal government back under control, it is all over.... and dont think for a second that conservative justices are safe for years to come in a democrat controlled white house/senate/house.... Not after what we have just witnessed with the presidential impeachment process.

The mainstream media, which is owned and controlled by socialists both at home and abroad is literally guilty of treasonous acts... and until we start looking at other things besides the 1st ammendment, they will continue to trample us down with the 1st.
They think they are above the law because of our 1st ammendment rights... but they are not above the law... and if Trump fails to find a way to defeat them, they will have time on their side once Trump is gone from office in 2024.
