dettol soap is different. Contains a serious disinfectant. I also researched soaps. You are correct. Hand washing is mechanical only. Rubs off some germs is all.

This virus has the potential but a virus most certainly will go global pandemic.

I don’t have to deal with people at all in person if I dont want to work wise.

Food can be delivered and cycled through a sterilization protocol.

I can honestly live in level 2 bio isolation for months.

If you think you’ve touched something germy, I remember from the last scare that you should use warm or hot water with soap to wash off the oil layer, which is holding the germs. Cold water doesn’t do the trick because it doesn’t remove the oil layer. Then the skin replenishes the oil.

Anyway, I’m sure everyone will be more cautious in many ways before we get through this horror.

All I know is that I ordered Mexican, not Chinese, for lunch this week...

lots of rice, beans and canned food on hand and if I want fresh stuff I can either throw it in a uv sterilizer or dip it in an iodophor solution. Food safe sterilization stuff.

Is the iodophor okay to ingest, or can it get rinsed off? What is your view about cooking fresh veggies without the uv and iodophor? I am simple and poor and don’t have a uv thing and probably would not get that other stuff.

I do have a garden when it’s summer but not all year, and am not very good so don’t have wide variety of veggies. Lots of dried stuff on hand. I can up ghee.

The doctor now says he believes he contracted the virus due to not donning protective eyewear.

Protective eye ware is sold at Home Depot and it's cheap. Same with n95 masks... We need to have a 'to do' list and a 'get now' list...

5 minutes or so to near sterilize in iodophor solution (500 mg/l free iodine) and then rinse or 200 mg/l for a no rinse air dry for veggies and meats.

Try ordering N95 masks, at Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon or just about any online medical supply.

Good luck finding any in stock.
