It's a new decade,* so it's time for a new round of panic about the weather killing us all. Swedish child-priestess and chronic truant Greta Thunberg is at the 2020 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, this week, because that's where the spotlight is. And she's scolding all the grown-ups for not doing what she wants when she wants it, because Veruca Salt wasn't fictional.
I was scared of the Boogeyman when I was little too. I just didn't have crowds of adults applauding my cries of fear:

I would like to say something that I think people need to know more than how I deal with haters... [laughter, applause] In chapter two on page 108 in the SR1.5 IPCC report that came out in 2018, it says if we are to have a 67% chance of limiting the global average temperature rise to below 1.5 degrees Celsius, we had on January 1st, 2018 about 420 gigatonnes of CO2 left to emit in that budget... With today's emissions level, that remaining budget is gone in less than 8 years. These numbers aren't anyone's opinions or political views. This is the current best available science. Though many scientists suggest these figures are too moderate, these are the ones that have been accepted by the IPCC... Take away all childrens’ computers, phones, cars and scooters. Pull the a/c out of their schools and homes.
Set the thermostats in the schools and homes way down.
Get rid of the multiple tv’s in the house, everyone watches the family tv in the living room.
Stop them from buying things with evil lithium-ion batteries. Cancel their online accounts so that they aren’t causing delivery vehicles to burn more gas to get them their next trivial item.
Lets see how they enjoy the “solutions”.

That sounds like a nightclub here in L.A. I’m sure she said “yes Master Soros, thank you for your prepared literature...can I say HOW DARE YOU afterwards?”
Of course she’s at the economic summit because the UN climate change geniuses openly admit that it’s not about climate its about redistribution of wealth and doing away with capitalism.
I cannot think of one solution, discovery, or insight that has ever come out of Davos in its fifty years of existence. Someone needs to tell the anarchists they are not worth the price of the bricks they throw at them. Davos reminds me of the US Congress. Is Davos going to impeach Trump, too and replace him with Greta?

Once upon a time, environmental activists claimed that they wanted to save the planet for the children. Now they want to save the planet from the children!
Yay. Scoldilocks has returned to save us.
She keeps saying ‘listen to the science’, as though it’s a person. Science that any theory must have qualifiers to both establish it as well as prove it wrong. What part of the scientific method is she using when she wants us to accept her theory blindly, with no evidence? None. Real science encourages us to be skeptical.
I’m old enough to remember when Sweden was known for its Bikini Team.
Can you imagine the spawn of her and David Hogg?
