My Grandmother was taller than Granddaddy. They had a portrait taken the day they were married in 1908.

I have a copy of it and the photographer solved the height issue by having Granddaddy seated and Grandmother standing behind and to the side with her hand on his shoulder.

You could not tell who was tallest. Grandmother had a really spectacular hat.

Women in those days all wore huge hats, Victorian monstrosities, usually...............

I think what people should take from this is that we should choose our mates based more than just on looks....

if women would just start marrying the regular looking hard working joes that they can depend on we'd be a much better society.....

same for men.....the regular looking young women often get ignored...

which is why the white culture is dying from lack of breeding pairs....

marriage is based on so much more in most cultures.....
