No fact is of any value to these people unless it serves their purposes - which are all aimed at obtaining, maintaining and enhancing their power over everyone else. If facts don’t agree with their interests, the facts are simply ignored, the originators or discoverers of the fact are denounced/lose their jobs/go to prison or get murdered, and whatever lie serves their purpose gets hammered home relentlessly.
