You are correct!
“Queen for a Day”.
Actually, I just saw a meme with two pics. One of Yoko Ono, with a caption, “I broke up the Beatles”; then, one of Meghan Markle with a caption: “Hold my beer”.
While people decry "21st Century values", I wonder. We're still able to man a military with teenagers and twenty-year olds. LS posted a story about a 13-year old American girl who rides mini-bulls, and she's good at it! 2 minute YouTube President Trump has killed countless regulations enabling more and more people to:
fall down, get up, fall on your butt real hard, dust yourself off and get smarter, fall down again, learn to hustle, fall down some more, ask questions, gain some knowledge, fall down the umpteenth time, And you're not done yet, because the bull was put out to pasture. Time to ride new bulls! But there's a difference because you understand the bull-riding process. |
Yes - as always, names come to me after a few seconds...It’s so aggravating. Should I worry about it or do others have the same problem?

I’m 81, and I have that problem at times. Fortunately,my wife is around and has a great memory for names. So she covers for me, and I cover her slight lapses.
I think it might not be serious AS LONG AS names do come to me after a fashion. That’s what I keep telling myself anyway. I’m just a couple of years older than you but you know I know people much younger who also have trouble coming up with the right words or names. I think it’s the overload we carry. As someone wrote in the Readers Digest last year, everything we hear/read is filed in a file drawer and when we need to refer to it, we need to find the right file drawer to get it out. Made sense to me! I have a friend from high school days who said that he has trouble believing that people don’t REALIZE how serious a problem it may be as he’s concerned about his wife’s behavior on a daily basis. WHY on earth are there so many people who have dementia today?
I was thinking that of the 535 members of both houses of Congress, it’s ridiculous to believe that a large % of them don’t suffer from it as much as our general population does. Now THAT is really worrisome. I don’t know anyone who isn’t touched by it - be it family or friend. I can see it in my husband who suffers from a chronic illness but I don’t speak of it with him nor does he mention it. Interesting subject but troubling. I carry the load of every day living and have to be careful not to show that it
gets to be too much at times. Stiff upper lip and all!
