DMV....ah
In 2014 when I was 74 DMV renewed my license ON LINE for 8 years.
Now I realize that I am an exception(Don’t we all??) but I have seen far too many ‘early 70s types (Bernie, Biden, Warren & Pelosi etc) that I would not want steering a shopping cart, much less a motorized vehicle.
Anyhoo in 2018, I went back to DMV to get my DL upgraded to the ‘positive ID’ and they went and took my picture with my sunglasses on.
In their and MY defense, I was filling something out on the form and had my prescription (sun) glasses on and she told me to turn around for my picture.
I did and damned if I don’t get my license back and there I am with sunglasses on.
I am just waiting for some ‘bright cop’ telling me I don’t match my DL at 4AM because I don’t have my sun glasses on (Though I probably would as they are also good for night glare etc.)
“I am just waiting for some bright cop telling me I dont match my DL...”
We’re old enough to be cautious about things like that now because we’ve had enough of those situations crop up over our lives.
The one thing I learned the last visit to the DMV...make an appt. I bypassed 50 people in line, (most speaking Spanish...grrr). I was out of there in 30 minutes.
