“The women are alone in a hotel room with two men they barely know who, although friendly at first, become aggressive and agitated if the women express hesitation or a desire to leave. Several Plaintiffs testified that they had second thoughts prior to or during the shoot but felt they were not in a position to try to leave.”

This is why an ounce of common sense is worth a pound of cure. Where where the girls' parents when they decided to go all alone to a hotel room with strange men? It'd be like wearing a MAGA hat in downtown Berkeley all alone.

On this we completely agree. At some point parents must educate their daughters (and sons) on the serious dangers they face in this world. Parents rightly desire to protect their children’s innocence, but they’ve got to be ready to face a dangerous world at least by the time they move out on their own. Unfortunately, even when parents do their best, sometimes young people choose to learn the hard way. These young women were at best very naive to put themselves in this situation. Having known a number of women and men who have been sexually assaulted, I think some of the most painful traumas stem from the victim knowing he or she made stupid choices that put themselves in danger.
