LOL coincidentally saw something like that the other day on TV.
American Pickers met up with a man who had some KISS stuff. He said it was from his mom who loved them,especially Simmons. This was from the 80s or so. He had photos of his ELDERLY mom standing with them and a big poster she proudly stood in front of.

It has often struck me, listening to the oldie pop songs from the 50s and 60s such as the above two, how very much the African-American artists shared with the majority whites the same ideals and aspirations for lasting love, fidelity and marriage, at least in their lyrics. Like this hit from the early summer of 1958.
