OK, yeah, seriously, ospreys are very cool birds. When I was stationed in DC, I used to go fishing in Chesapeake Bay on Patuxent Naval Air Station. GREAT place to fish! Restricted to military, no crowds, LOTS of striped bass/rockfish and bluefish coming thru the river mouth...
Anyway, there was a huge osprey nest right there where the golf course ended and the Pax river began. Watched them hunt and fish all day.
I'll bet, though it's been 30 years since I fished there, the descendants of those same osprey are still nesting there.
