While the Pelosi Left mulls endless impeachment orgies of President Trump, I’ve wondered what holds a fractured American society together. As opposed to monarchies and totalitarian regimes, republican government demands a certain threshold of shared interests, traditions, religion, and outlook. Without this commonality, society breaks down into hostile opposing tribes incapable of self-government. As such, only a strong central authority can keep them in check. Divide and conquer. This is where the Pelosi Left would take America.
When I started this squib I was ready to describe the role of Christianity as society’s particular and most important adhesive, that which kept various interest groups, too many to count, somehow together in a republic of 330 millions. Rest assured, if Christianity wasn’t essential to the American republic, the Left wouldn’t fight so viciously for its annihilation. A higher power than themselves just doesn’t work.
Although Christianity’s tenets are prerequisite to free government, bazillions of immigrants didn’t flood our shores just to exercise Christian virtue. They risked all to better their situations, to take care of their families, and who knows, maybe get rich. People in a society that respects the Ten Commandments are preconfigured to cooperate with one another, look outward, make discoveries, improvements and enrich themselves. Unlike other nations, anyone of any race who frolics in our first principles and common beliefs can be an American.

Free Enterprise is part of natural law. It is as natural as the right to self defense, the right to free speech and property rights.
That is why our nation prospered so rapidly...it was the first to combine individual liberty with free enterprise...the result was the largest, strongest economy the planet has ever seen....all because it is the natural state of humans.
Even under the strongest forms of communism, people trade, barter and sell to each other. Most people walk into a store (private or gov’t run) and can see what they think are better ways to deliver the same product/service. Under Free Enterprise, you can put those ideas into action and reap the rewards or pay the price....but you can try to improve what already exists. Under socialism/communism, you cannot put your ideas into action and there is little chance to improve what exists.
