More than 150 people showed up to the Yavapai County Board of Supervisor’s meeting on Wednesday in Cottonwood. Most of them were there to express support of a resolution to make Yavapai County a Sanctuary County in regards to Second Amendment issues.

So, what is a Second Amendment Sanctuary Resolution? It is a commitment by the jurisdiction, in this case, Yavapai County, to not use resources to enforce any gun control measures that are considered to be in violation of the Second Amendment.

62% of Yavapai County's voters are Republican and the county is extreme pro-2A. I think the supervisors brought it up because Mohave County to the north did it first.

Barry Goldwater began each of his campaigns with a rally in which he addressed the crowd from the steps of the Yavapai County Courthouse.

Read understand and use this first, before jumping to the US Constitution.

The Incorporation Doctrine carriers with it far more evil than it does good.

Note: This is Arizona.

I disapprove in theory of the whole sanctuary city/county/state idea. However, when a law is clearly unconstitutional, as all gun control laws are, I approve of refusing to participate in a state or federal violation of the God-given rights of American citizens. In contrast, “sanctuary” for illegals should be completely ignored, and all illegals should be deported. No exceptions.

Yavapai County is the county north and northwest of Phoenix. The most well known cities are Prescott and part of Sedona.

Gosar gets 71 percent of the vote and he’s not constituent friendly. Everyone here has a gun and a dog. Very few break-ins.

You must live in Yavapai county and have no experience about the parts of Mohave county then.

Break ins are rampant. Theft is rampant.

I looked up the crime rate for Mohave County and you are correct, it is above the average US crime rate.

One reason I can see is there are more males than females in the county; that’s an warning sign there. Also there are posts on other websites complaining of a large transient population in Kingman and Bullhead City.

Thats the problem. They come from CA and their dam three strikes law and the first place they hit is Kingman and Bullhead City.

The drugs are out of this universe here. All thanks to CA.

Bad enough with the Mexicans sneaking in across the Yuma area. Then add the druggies and its a hell of a show.
