I am looking for a new browser for android which autohides the search bar to give you a full screen. This used to be a common feature.

Are there any browsers which have that?

I mostly use brave, and chrome now and again since I cant get rid of it.

Another vote for Opera. There is a "Hide search box" setting.

Beware thought, Opera is owned by the Chinese.

If you are looking for a web browser for use with a TV or streaming box, try PuffinTV, you can get it on the Play Store.

Here is the user manual for mobile Opera there are settings for full screen and a toggle the navigation bar..

Fullscreen - Remove the address bar and navigation bar to view more of the webpage.

Navigation bar - Toggle the navigation bar on/off.

“Opera is owned by the Chinese”

You’re right, Chinese investors bought it in 2016, but it’s still a Norweigan ompany.
