Your site’s okay, but I’ll be honest. I hate those “chat” popup windows. I never want to chat. No one ever wants to chat. Ever.

They had just changed their name from the Amboy Dukes to Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes when they played my Jr/Senior Prom in 1969.

My memory is vague but I think I may have seen the Amboy Dukes live at the Club Pony Tail in Harbor Springs, MI in the summer of 1968........

I always liked the guy, liked some of his music. My one black mark against him was a magazine interview he gave (probably more than 30 years ago) where he described what he did to get out of the draft. Because I was part of that generation (I joined, wasn't drafted) anyone who tried to ‘beat’ the draft has always had a small X next to their name. I do very much appreciate his support of the 2nd amendment.

I saw Uncle Ted back in the day at the Blue Moon Ballroom in Elgin IL. It was an all ages show. I was about 17 IIRC.
Been a fan ever since.

I saw Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes several times at the Silverbell Ski Lodge north of Detroit in 1969-70. He is a guitar virtuoso and always has been. Used to see Third Power (they never made it) and Bob Seger and the Last Heard there to. Those were the days...
