It takes a full hour for Bombshell to resemble an actual movie.
Until that point, its a screeching op-ed against all things Fox News, real and imagined.
The real part is the sexual harassment Fox News founder Roger Ailes inflicted on female employees. The imagined? Well, thats a laundry list of far-left talking points against the network, conservatives and a certain Commander in Chief.
Once the film clears its throat, and that literally takes 60 minutes, Bombshell morphs into a competent, often compelling tale of a harassers insidious web.

I thought this was the life story of the Jimmy Hofta and his grating-pundit blog.
So your saying Bombshell is going to be a did, eh? Hopefully.
Grrrrr. Stupid auto-correct! did = dud.
Now do Harvey Weistein
This silly film is why the vile Gretchen Carlson wants out of her non-disclosure agreement with FoxNews. I hope they never let her.
They should hold her to the NDA until she draws her last breath. Roger Ailes was no saint, but his crimes paled in comparison to those of other media titans. Carlson was a prima donna who demanded an exit from “Fox and Friends” so she could have her own program in the afternoon. It bombed (by FNC standards), and Ailes was preparing to dump her. She retaliated by claiming sexual harassment, and the rest, as they say, is history.
The fact that other networks aren’t lining up to hire Ms. Carlson tells you all you need to know. Even the most liberal media companies don’t want another high-maintenance diva who will claim harassment the moment her contract isn’t renewed.
Also worth noting that Carlson’s actions were cheered on by the younger Murdochs, who had been seeking revenge on Ailes for years. When FNC hit #1 (just five years after its launch), Ailes made a power play and told Rupert he wanted to run the cable news channel by himself, without assistance from Murdoch’s liberal sons. Rupert, understanding how much money FNC was generating, went along. Eventually, he relented and let his spawn have a say in running FNC, and they began looking for a way to get rid of Ailes. Enter Gretchen Carlson.
someone green-lit this piece of crap.
the actresses should be ashamed to have taken part in such garbage.
"And then he threw her face down on the bed and proceeded to sodomize her". Oh, wait, that's not in the movie. That's a scene from the Matt Lauer movie that will never be made.
I just have to say: GREAT COMMENT!
Theyll take any role for Money. What that makes them is a matter of interpretation.
did = dud = dude = dad.
From a review I read they added 2 fictional characters.
Guess what? One was a lesbian who beds a Fox news worker!
Gotta add a lesbian in hollywood.....
