It isn't just the Second Amendment under assault in blue America; the crazed anti-gun nuts want to take away your Nerf guns too! Leave it to New York to start this idiotic idea. The Empire State Consumer Project is part of a nationwide group that lobbies lawmakers for consumer safety, research, and education. The NY faction has decided that this year, the biggest threat to consumers is "assault-style" Nerf guns that shoot foam darts and contribute to much family fun (in my house anyway).

The world has gone mad
Liberals have been trying to emasculate boys since 1968 when Bobby Kennedy was murdered by a Palestinian.
They blamed guns, comic books, TV shows, pulp novels, movies for their reason.
Adult Tv shows, still safe for kids, were dumbed down to kiddie show. Movies shown on TV were butchered to remove “violence”, Comic books changed their formats till the “heat” was off. Pulp magazines changed their covers. gun laws were passed, but the Movie Industry got a “Pass” due to “self policing” with a joke of a ratings system, so they reshot scenes adding more blood, guts and sex to get the coveted “R” rating.
A movement began to “feminize” boys to make them less prone to being boys.
Maybe the problem is the ammo for that might break a snowflake in two.
My granddaughter goes to a classical academy. None of that BS there. They play five or six different kinds of dodge ball, and have a huge free-for-all Nerf gun battle every year.
I volunteer for recess duty there, and let me tell you, they encourage physical play.
When I first started a couple years ago, I saw a boy on the ground with a girl pulling his arms. There was another girl pulling his legs in the opposite direction, and a girl sitting on his stomach, bouncing up and down! I ordered them to stop, but one of the girls said it was OK, the teachers didn’t mind. I asked the boy if he was OK, and he groaned out a “Y-e-a-h”. So I let them go about their business.

Actually, NW Arkansas (WalMart ground zero), and it is an oasis of sanity. We do have a huge in-migration, and along with that are the concomitant “progs” bringing all the problems with them that they tried to escape. Hopefully we can keep them at bay.
That said, we have great educational opportunities here, thanks in large part to the Walton Family Foundation. Lots of charters, private schools, and better than average public schools.
We also have an income based tuition private school that is world class, thanks to the Waltons.
My granddaughter’s school admissions are lottery-based, and we typically admit one for every fifteen applicants. A shame that isn’t available to every kid that deserves it. They also teach, and ENFORCE-honor and integrity. My granddaughter will never attend another school...well, until college, anyway.
The school even has pages in their yearbook dedicated to their dodgeball program! No snowflakes here!
