BREAKING: US Attorney John Durham Releases Statement Disputing IG Report Conclusions (Full statenebt

The DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz finally released his report on FISA abuses on Monday.

The report revealed what we knew to be true all along — the FBI defrauded the FISA court and purposely omitted exculpatory information from the FISA judges in order to obtain FOUR FISA warrants on Trump campaign advisor Carter Page.

Horowitz, however concluded that the FBI investigation into Trump was not politically motivated — and John Durham hit back.

Read more US Attorney from Connecticut John Durham immediately released a statement following the release of the FISA report and disputed Horowitz’s findings and conclusions.

“I have the utmost respect for the mission of the Office of Inspector General and the comprehensive work that went into the report prepared by Mr. Horowitz and his staff. However, our investigation is not limited to developing information from within component parts of the Justice Department. Our investigation has included developing information from other persons and entities, both in the U.S. and outside of the U.S. Based on the evidence collected to date, and while our investigation is ongoing, last month we advised the Inspector General that we do not agree with some of the report’s conclusions as to predication and how the FBI case was opened,” John Durham said in a rare statement.

John Durham was tapped by Bill Barr earlier this year to conduct an investigation into the origins of Spygate.

Mr. Durham has already traveled to Italy and other countries as part of his sprawling investigation into how Obama’s corrupt FBI and intel agencies launched and carried out the largest spy operation of a presidential candidate in US history.

Unlike Horowitz, Durham has real power to bring the coup plotters to justice, such as the power to indict and impanel a grand jury.

US Attorney General Bill Barr also blasted the FBI on Monday in a statement

“The Inspector General’s report now makes clear that the FBI launched an intrusive investigation of a U.S. presidential campaign on the thinnest of suspicions that, in my view, were insufficient to justify the steps taken,” Barr said, adding, “It is also clear that, from its inception, the evidence produced by the investigation was consistently exculpatory.”

Making statements isn’t exactly “stepping up”. It is possible they’re just making some contrarian noise to camouflage the fact they are deep state.

“Barr said, adding, “It is also clear that, from its inception, the evidence produced by the investigation was consistently exculpatory.”

you said: “I’m glad BOTH Durham and Barr are stepping up.”

how is Barr “stepping up” when he declares DOJ’s IG Horowitz report’s evidence was “consistently exculpatory”? meaning no one was at fault?!? so, the IG report basically declared that the FBI really couldn’t be held accountable. is this basically the Comey/hilliary email defense of “no intent” to do wrong; therefore, not responsible nor indictable?

EXCULPATORY means—”Tending to clear someone, especially a suspect, of guilt or blame; exonerative. Fitted or intended to clear from a charge of fault or guilt; exonerating; excusing: as, exculpatory evidence.”

“I want PRE-DAWN RAIDS and ARRESTS, or else America is DEFINITELY gone.”

No family pets shot, though. That may be the last thing that Dems and Republicans can agree on.

I want PRE-DAWN RAIDS and ARRESTS, or else America is DEFINITELY gone.

Do no good. They will all get D.C. Inpaneled grand juries who have swamp workers making a crap load of money from the swamp. The fix is in. They all will walk because they will be judged by their peers...who are rats like them who hate Trump!

I think he meant the evidence kept pointing to the Trump people not colluding with the Russians. IOW it was exculpatory for Trump.

Exactly. I have seen the scoreboard on some other site or maybe here. The closest Trump has come to beating the deep state of ended in a stalemate for that battle.

IG Horowitz report’s evidence was “consistently exculpatory”? meaning no one was at fault?!?

What Barr is saying is exactly the opposite - that the evidence discovered by the FBI in investigating Trump's campaign was consistently exculpatory of the targets of the investigation and yet they consistently continued to press forward on investigating and making up excuses for continuing the FISA surveillance.

While stating just facts, the legal conclusion from Barr's statement about what Horowitz found is that these FBI agents perpetrated a fraud on the FISA court and continued to investigate in the face of evidence that the individuals were innocent.

Which now brings us to the Flynn matter.

“Text me when we have a perp-walk.”

Exactly. All the appointed judges, all the ‘investigations’ and ‘reports’ mean nothing. Actions, not cheap antics and words.

One more time. US Attorney Durham is well known for being slow and meticulous. He will charge no one until he is certain he has a winnable case. He won’t ask questions in depositions for which he does not already have the answers.

This is a highly unusual, complex, sensitive case, spanning several countries.

If Durham is the prosecutor I believe him to be, he doesn’t give a rat’s ass about elections.

We don’t know if anyone has been indicted or not. An indictment can be filed without being served to toll the statute of limitations.

Durham is going to do this his way on *his* timetable, not yours.

Yes. Durham has been silent all this time.
The fact that he has made a comment is huge.
