Department of Justice Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz released his report on the Trump-Russia probe and FISA applications Monday afternoon. His report considers whether or not there was any wrongdoing in the probe, run by the Obama administration and launched against the candidate who ran against many of Obama's policies. The grounds for the investigation proved extremely weak, from the Clinton campaign-funded Steele dossier to tenuous links regarding obscure members of the Trump campaign like Carter Page and George Papadopoulos.
"We did not find documentary or testimonial evidence that political bias or improper motivation influenced the decisions to open the four individual investigations," the report states.
Yet the report also reveals many errors in the investigations. It is also likely to reveal more bias in the Obama administration against Trump and for Hillary Clinton. The notorious Peter Strzok and Lisa Page both feature in the report.

The principals named in the Horowitz report were able to edit the comments made about them prior to the report being released. Sort of a DC insider wiki publication.

Michael Horowitz whitewashed this whole investigation with stupid little process crimes, letting all the real criminals off the hook for their real crimes!

How do you possibly justify the targets of an IG investigation having input into the report DOJ?
Rename the IG to the “Department of Cover Ups and White Washing” there is utterly nothing independent about it.
Again, suppressing the evidence that would not only bring the roaches to light but hammer them with a big boot. Typical BS that goes on in our feral government.

The “no political bias” finding is the equivalent of “p*ssing on the public’s leg and telling us that it is raining”.

However, our investigation is not limited to developing information from within component parts of the Justice Department. Our investigation has included developing information from other persons and entities, both in the U.S. and outside of the U.S. Based on the evidence collected to date, and while our investigation is ongoing, last month we advised the Inspector General that we do not agree with some of the report’s conclusions as to predication and how the FBI case was opened.”

It looks like while Horowitz was chasing smoke, Durham is zeroing in on the fire.
