Who actually owns the United States?

Extreme Concentration of Ownership in the United States

The Oligarch Take over of Healthcare and Big Pharma

A close-knit oligarchy controls all major corporations.

Institutional investors like BlackRock, Vanguard, State Street, Fidelity, and JP Morgan, now own 80% of all stock in S&P 500 listed companies. The Big Three investors – BlackRock, Vanguard and State Street – alone constitute the largest shareholder in 88% of S&P 500 firms, which roughly correspond to America’s 500 largest corporations. Blackrock and Vanguard would then alone own more than one-third of all US publicly listed shares.

The consolidation of ownership of media and social media give the oligarchy the power to limit internet searches, place their opinion makers before the TV camera, flavor editorials and news, shadow ban opposing viewpoints and prohibit voiced dissent in the name of “public safety.”

And who owns the stocks in the institutional investors portfolios?

Mostly made up of 401Ks and IRAs, as I recall.

In other words, the USA is mostly owned by middle class Americans investing for their retirement.

All those who believe we “own” anything, worship an illusion
Those who grasp the firmest onto “Money, Wealth, Power” will find in time that they spent their existence upon an illusion

The 99% are masses, cattle being distracted by the manipulating Masters
The people “cared for” by The Masters are treated like livestock
As long as we moo the right way, accept our brands
Don’t disturb the Masters, and go quietly to the slaughter
Everything is just Peachy, from their standpoint

What did Jesus mean when He said it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven?

These institutions appear to hold ownership but do not in fact do so, most accounts of individuals be they taxable ones or tax sheltered versions are with these institutions and the stocks held in “street name” by them for ease of transfer and collection of dividends etc. Stock ownership even among the younger generation fostered by such tools as Robinhood, Fundrise, and Acorns continues to be an important part of US culture.

Socialists, like all other monopolists, desire to make the law their own weapon. And when once the law is on the side of socialism, how can it be used against socialism? - “The Law” - Bastiat (1801-1850)

BOURGEOIS SOCIALISTS -Even the commies hated them.- Communist Manifesto p.49

A part of the bourgeoisie is desirous of redressing social grievances, in order to secure the continued existence of bourgeois society.

To this section belong economists, philanthropists, humanitarians, improvers of the condition of the working class, organisers of charity, members of societies for the prevention of cruelty to animals, temperance fanatics, hole-and-corner reformers of every imaginable kind. This form of Socialism has, moreover, been worked out into complete systems.

We may site Proudhon’s Philosophie de la Misere as an example of this form.
The Socialistic bourgeois want all the advantages of modern social conditions without the struggles and dangers necessarily resulting therefrom. They desire the existing state of society minus its revolutionary and disintegrating elements.

So the answer to the question is, We, the stockholders. So if you aren’t comfortable with fund managers investing people’s money in such funds for a 10% return, then go ahead and sell. Put the money under your mattress.

“Institutional investors like BlackRock, Vanguard, State Street, Fidelity, and JP Morgan, now own 80% of all stock in S&P 500 listed companies.”

The titles listed in that sentence are not oligarchs. They are themselves owned by hundreds of thousands of investors, and the majority of those investors are institutional - like pension funds and insurance companies.

I’m very close to the State Street crowd. It isn’t them, personally, that controls much. It is their families.

The funny thing is that some of these investment groups hold huge positions from 401(k) and pension accounts.

So, in the end the guy next to you on the assembly line—or the woman changing the sheets in the hospital, own America.

Last year NASDAQ’s webite said the total US stock market value was $34 trillion. That’s only about $100,000 per person.

We can't have that.

Americans should be made to look to the central government, not their own enterprise or thrift, for sustenance during their later years.
