Supposedly it saves energy. Weren’t we on year round daylight time during world war I and/or II?

I recall for a time in the 70s we were on year round daylight time during the energy crisis.

One of the lies they’ve used to sell it. First they blamed farmers, then energy. When Indiana switch to all DST from their random county silliness they got a chance to compare. No savings in energy. Really it’s just the government reminding you who’s in charge. Change your clock twice a year cause we said so.

More businesses are working 24/7 these days.

No, there was no year round DST in the 70s. You must have been on drugs or living in a state like parts of Indiana or Arizona where they don’t change their clocks.
