Hey Joe, if a person doesn’t have time in their life to take proper care of a pet, that person is doing the right thing by not having a pet.
maybe they should be like the Clintons, who never owned a pet before they moved into the Whitehouse, and only because it made a good photo op. Remember Buddy? how did it live after they moved out and didn’t have a whole Whitehouse staff taking care of it?
From Wikipedia:
According to a police report, Buddy was killed by a car while “playfully chasing a contractor” who had left the Clinton home in Chappaqua, New York, on January 2, 2002. The Clintons were not home at the time of the accident; their home was being watched by Secret Service agents. The agents rushed Buddy to an animal hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Thanks for posting—I did not know that.
Our dog has that very bad habit as well—fortunately we are in a very rural area, but still...not good...

Even dogs end up dead around the Clinton’s.

By any chance, is the person who ran over Buddy still alive?
And they gave their cat away.
In fairness, Chelsea had Socks, the cat.
The Clintons had a dog when they lived in the Arkansas governor’s mansion, a cocker spaniel, who like Buddy was hit by a car.
