WESTFIELD A new health care manufacturing factory is planning to build a new facility in Westfield and create more than 475 jobs.
Westfield Mayor Andy Cook and Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb announced Abbott, a global health care company, plans to build the facility and employ 477 people, according to a press release from the city. The company plans to hire people in two phases, with hiring complete by 2024.
The $37.6 million, 120,000 facility will be built in Holladay Properities' NorthPoint Industrial Park, near US-31 and 202nd Street, according to the release. The facility will make the company's MiltraClip device, a clip-based device helping to repair primary and secondary mitral regulation without open-heart surgery.

The Westfield City Council approved 10-year real and personal property tax abatements for the company.
Bribery hasn’t worked in NYS.
Good luck with that.
Every community in the United States does that pal.
I know the town intimately. The mayor is as crooked as a dogs hind leg. The city council is for sale. Cindy S. was a holdout for a while but she went on the market too. You should see some of the crap they have pulled. A huge city sports complex built on land the city does not own, only leases. The land is owned by a secretive LLC who no one seems to be able to find out who the partners are. You should see what the tried to pull with the library land. In a couple of areas of the city mysteriously city gov family members are buyers of parcels of land and then for some unknown reason a city development plan and the city pays top $ for that land.
I keep waiting to see on the news aerial shots of FBI trucks outside the city government people’s homes and offices.

Regardless, Abbott is a public company and responsible for due diligence.
Knowing the city, nothing happens without pay for play. I would be more worried as to what Abbott did.
Nice...will Obama claim this as his plan working...? /S
Maybe you should pull out a dictionary, look up the word "bribe."
