Sorry C19, but I think the Gumps will stomp LSU, fwiw. It will likely depend on the refs and which team’s offensive line will be allowed to hold on virtually every play. Usually that is ‘Bama.
Alabama will probably find a way to win the game.
Went to the Tennessee/South Carolina game with my sister’s family and actually rooted for the Volunteers.
One of their best receivers is from my home town. So is GA qb Jake Fromm.
And,some parts of the Tennessee campus are quite beautiful.

Fun fact. The last time LSU played Bama as the #1 team in the nation LSU lost 21-0 (the BCS championship game at the end of the 2011 season).

This year’s Alabama team is actually fun. Getting stomped by Clemson takes a lot of the pressure off. We can just watch and enjoy.
LSU looked like dogcrap the last two weeks and nobody’s a bigger Burrow fan than me. So then one of the polls makes them number one going into Tuscaloosa. Sheer genius that.
Imagine a world where LSU beats BAMA and Auburn wins the Iron bowl.
It could happen.
LSU wins by 3 and gets catapulted into #1? Both Alabama and Ohio State win by knockouts and get the finger? Hmmmm.

It should be a good game. LSU will be a formidable opponent.
Burrow this year is a better than Tua but...I think Bama's defense is the best LSU will see this year and Bama can trade punches on offense. I see a real close game with Bama pulling away in the 4th and winning by 2 scores, sending LSU to the Orange Bowl. Bama to face the winner of the UGA\Fla game in the SECCG. My playoff teams...
Bama gets snubbed and plays Penn State in the Sugar, where they lose again, NCAA announces formal investigation of Alabama with Tua family at center, Saban retires, recruiting class falls apart. Fast forward to 2023, Bama loses to Kentucky on the road by 3 scores and and gets shut out in the Iron Bowl 35-0, finishes 5-6
