Indeed they have. And I recall that both Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump were Democrats before they became Republicans. Gabbard was raised conservative, and I believe her more recent leftist positions are a reflection of the political reality that no Republican is elected in Hawaii. She could revert and no one would be very surprised.
Is that hypocritical? Yeah, but we give politicians a pass on that, it’s part of the game. Do we label Reagan or Trump hypocrites because they changed their positions during their careers?
I ain’t holding my breath for a Trump/Gabbard ticket — I don’t think it’s gonna happen. But it would cause Hillary and the rest of the corrupt Democrats to absolutely sh*t their britches, and their empty heads would surely explode. And the landslide that resulted would be epic.
