Unless you live in a remote cabin and never access the internet or do business with any institution than your information is in the cloud.
Most Companies are putting their information there to save a buck.
Bad idea, but then most business only their of the next quarter or 2 and their bottom line.
I don’t and won’t have a digital assistant (Alexa, etc) in my home or workplace. I have a cover over my laptop(s) camera and micro-phones. Crafty bastards can probably still get to me.

WHY would you by an Amazon device that goes to the “Cloud”?
I can install a nice DVR cam system in my house, with secure remote access and not just GIVE AWAY all of that to others to watch. Cyber stupidity.
Of course they are. Watching videa, looking at pics, reading your email. Every piece of info you give Google or Amazon is harvested and sold to advertisers so they can target you.
Police can also subpoena the content and use it against you.

IMHO, people who willingly give their permission to be watched and listened to 24/7/365 are just plain dumb and obviously don't understand the implications.
