PG&E decided it's cheaper to turn off the power than to maintain the trees near power lines.

SoCal Edison in the Inland Empire of Southern California has contractors cleaning up brush around the electrical poles, and tree trimming crews working year round to keep brush, and tree growth from becoming a fire hazard problem.

Why the ‘H’ can’t P.G. & E. do it as well?

"PG&E decided it's cheaper to turn off the power than to maintain the trees near power lines."

Not paying for maintenance of the trees allows them to line their own pockets with more money. The whole state is democrat corruption on display.

Look for a good generator to buy. It's all you can do. The place is run by theives and imbeciles.

After the Wine country fires where the uncleared tree lines whipped in the winds and caused fires, the Utilities were sued and courts allowed judgements along the lines where property owners, governments and envirornmental nuts would not allow them to clear limbs and brush or allow them increased rates to bury underground as we do in Arizona in many areas prone to this problem.

They have now chosen to shut down power when high winds may cause damage.
