Speak to any teacher who is honest.

As others have mentioned there is a cultural divide among blacks and whites with importance to education. Blacks have a terrible gangsta hip hop, no respect to authority culture that is ingrained in them, even the wealthier ones.

It's not a racial thing, it's a cultural one. In other places that behavior is not what you find among blacks. In the USA for a variety of reasons you do. And I'm not going to lie, if my family lived through slavery and Jim Crow, I might be a bit suspiciousl of "the man". But then again, I am anyway and I never went through any of that.

But the lack of respect for getting an education, to the point of ostracizing kids that do take it seriously, is eye poppingly foolish and I believe the largest block to blacks making real progress in the country.
