There will be no serious effort to pass meaningful legislation for the rest of this year... During the Clinton impeachment hearings, the Dems were all screaming (as one) about how all this was a farce and that they needed to get back to working for the people...

Personally, I would rather have them working on IMpeachment than passing more laws that do nothing but strip us of rights and property.

They will keep doubling down on the neverending coup detat not because its likely to be a successful strategy, but because they literally have no idea what else to do at this point. I think the public may have noticed that the Democrats make absolutely no pretense at doing any work for the people. They are not doing their jobs. They are not governing in any fashion. They are just attempting a very long, slow coup. Nothing else has their attention.
Shameful.

And we have a divided Congress, making it even less likely to have much get passed... which isn't a terrible thing. The less they do, the better for the nation, most of the time. Let them quibble, let them step in the bear trap of an actual impeachment trial, let Congress do nothing.... while our President lays the ground work for more campaign promises kept, and more Swamp Draining.... and hopefully some real legal consequences for the corrupt Democrat Machine.
