Kamala Harris Asked Twitter to Suspend Donald Trump. Here’s Why That Probably Won’t Happen
Fortune ^ | October 2, 2019 | Terry Collins

California Senator Kamala Harris is again formally asking Twitter to suspend President Donald Trump's controversial Twitter account, but the social media platform may be reluctant to do so.

In a letter to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, the Democratic presidential candidate wrote on her campaign letterhead that the president's constant tweets attacking the whistleblower that ignited an impeachment inquiry violates Twitter's user agreement rules.

Harris points out several tweets in the past week that appear to "target, harass, and attempt to out the whistleblower who set forth credible allegations that the President has abused his power by urging a foreign government to investigate a domestic political rival."

On Tuesday, Trump tweeted, "So if the so-called 'Whistleblower' has all second hand information, and almost everything he has said about my “perfect” call with the Ukrainian President is wrong (much to the embarrassment of Pelosi & Schiff), why aren’t we entitled to interview & learn everything about the Whistleblower, and also the person who gave all of the false information to him. This is simply about a phone conversation that could not have been nicer, warmer, or better. No pressure at all (as confirmed by Ukrainian Pres.). It is just another Democrat Hoax!"

Surprised NPR didn’t use “unfortunately” instead of “probably” in the title.

Harris needs to be prosecuted, imho, for soliciting funds under false pretenses (she’s ineligible and she knows it as can be seen by how cleverly she’s buried the facts on her website)

...President Donald Trump's controversial Twitter account...
...so sez Partisan Media Shill Terry Collins for Fortune magazine. The steady downward spiral of media companies puzzles analysts.

I'd LOVE to see Twitter suspend, shadow-ban, or otherwise mess with the President's Twitter account in any way.

Talk about election interference! They'd either have to suspend every politician's accounts, or else explain to the FEC why they were only blocking one candidate.

The Federal Courts have already ruled that politicians with Twitter accounts cannot block subscribers due to First Amendment issues. Imagine how they'd rule against Twitter for blocking Trump.

Let’s count how many rights Kamala Harris wants to remove from American citizens.

Right to Bear Arms.
Right to Free Speech.
Right to vote.
Right to Life.
Right to Liberty.

Where are the Republicans?? Are they sleeping or just Stupid?

What the Prostitute and the DNC did was:

Soliciting an Illegal In Kind Political Contribution. And numerous Complaints should have already been Filed against them

I doubt that the Twits will respond ... they are going to be careful about any situation like this. The only thing that keeps FacePlant, Twits, etc from being sued out of existence is an actual law that proclaims that they are a ‘platform’ not a ‘publisher’. That distinction protects them from libel lawsuits. Revoke that law or in any way remove the ‘platform’ status and the libel lawsuits will begin. There are lots of hungery lawyers and *uckerberg is a BIG target with deep pockets.

Harris wants Trump's Twitter account closed down.

Biden wants Trump's personal attorney, to be banned from going of TV news talk shows.

Both attempting to cut off Trump and his lawyer's right of free speech.

What's with the Left and their infamous tolerance and diversity? :-)

There is not much reason left to use Twitter except for tweets from President Trump.

That platform would lose 80% of its' followers if he stopped.

Trump should just drop Twitter and go to Gab or Minds.com messaging app. This would be the single biggest thing to fight back against the social media communists that could be done.

Why am I not surprised that an elected United States Senator would use taxpayer supplied resources to attempt to subvert the First Amendment Rights of a sovereign Citizen of these United States?

Perhaps Senator “Heels Up!” Harris should resign her post since upholding her oath of office seems to be of no concern to her.

“I’d LOVE to see Twitter suspend”

So would I, right away, too. I think they are probably going to suspend him anyway, but closer to the election. PDJT will have to adopt an alternative platform to get his message out, and the sooner he starts the better. It will take time to scale up.
