With a national election coming in 13 months, Democrats seem convinced they cannot win. So they revert to another two years of the Russia Hoax II. A fabricated scandal created by deep state elements, coordinated with leading Democrats, and laid out in the left-wing media like a PR campaign.
As they continue to trample the constitution in their efforts to destroy President Trump, Democrats are on the verge of triggering a Civil War in America. The Whistleblower hoax and its attendant impeachment hysteria is a distraction to cover up the criminality of numerous high ranking Obama officials.
In hopes of convincing enough people that their lies are the truth.
Election Interference
Democrats accuse Trump of wanting to interfere in the 2020 election. In reality, Trump is trying to find out what happened in 2016. There is a Justice Department investigation. Willam Barr and John Durham can’t look into the Russia Hoax without talking to Ukraine about their deep involvement in it.
And Italy, Britain, and Australia, as well as other foreign powers.

Which is why the prime targets in any future civil war should be the globalist overlords. Unlike the previous civil war I don't think it will be working men on one side shooting working men on the other while the elites sit in their mansions raising money to supply them. At least it shouldn't be.

I took it that the idea of a civil war was after the president was illegitimately removed from office. Talking about winning elections after that is just so much bovine fartrous fartoxide.
But we haven't been able to do this. So far, justice has been misused against Trump, and is only a pipe dream against a single conspirator or democrat. The DOJ IG even refused to punish proven liar McCabe.
Meanwhile, illegals still come over the border in droves, swelling the democrat voter base. How long will their shinnanigans go on while nothing gets done here, and then Texas turns Blue?

But I think what we are seeing is a far, far wider application of a combination of ignoring the Constitution and Law on the part of elected government officials and being done openly.
They aren’t even bothering to hide it.
They are just throwing it all against the wall and note even caring if it sticks, just moving to the next accusation and using the media as a tool to facilitate it...and the media doesn’t even bother to hide it either.

The Supreme has no role in it. SCOTUS ruled in 1974 that the courts may not review the impeachment and trial of a federal officer because the Constitution reserves that function to a coordinate political branch. Article I, Section 3 of the Constitution gives the Senate the "sole power to try all impeachments."
