What misdeeds? I reject the premise of the entire article.

Here is something Mitch could do. He could hold what would be a de facto summary judgement hearing. Have a debate on the floor and vote on whether to proceed to a trial.

Viewing the evidence in a light most favorable to the impeaching party, is there even enough to convict. If the Senate votes “no” then it’s an acquittal. If they vote that there might be, a trial. I have a feeling it comes out “no” but with our GOPe I am not so sure.

Do it now, not later. I don't want to live through a 12 month kabuki dance.

Subpoena as witnesses those advocating the mess and then vote to dismiss the bill of impeachment as a partisan political stunt before it arrives.

Do something to put an end to this country's misery.
