In the early 1970s we would skate at The Vineland Roller Rink (now a Goodwill store) on Delsea drive till midnight on Saturdays. They had the guys dressed in NFL official looking garb with a whistle in his mouth skating backwards to keep everything safe. They would announce for ten minutes couples only,then girls only,then came our turn, boys only. The skate monitors would go blue blowing their whistles at us. All the boys would crowd in the restroom to look from the small window to watch the R rated skin flicks on the drive-in screen behind the rink.
