Beto O’Rourke’s “hell yes” moment at the Democrats’ presidential debate is scrambling his party’s message on guns.
The Democrats have long contended their support of gun control laws does not mean they want to take away law-abiding citizens’ firearms. But on Friday, they struggled to square that message with their presidential contender’s full-throated call on national TV for confiscating assault rifles.
“Hell, yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47, and we’re not going to allow it to be used against your fellow Americans anymore,” the former Texas congressman declared during Thursday night’s debate.
O’Rourke’s hometown of El Paso was the site of a mass shooting last month that killed 22 people, and he has put the issue of gun violence at the center of his campaign effort. On Friday, his campaign hawked T-shirts emblazoned with his debate vow.

So which does he intend to steal, AR-15’s or assault weapons?
They are not the same thing and I am sick of the MSM pretending they are.
AR-15 values range from about $400.00 to $2,500.00.
Genuine Assault Weapons are NFA regulated items and the AR-15 FA assault weapon versions cost from $14,000.00 to over $30,000.00.
Even the non AR-15 marked registered AR pattern assault weapons values start at around $10,000.00.
As to AK-47’s, another deliberate mis-statement, civilian semi-auto AKM’s, vs rare NFA registered AK-47’s at $14,000.00 minimum.
It’s time to correct these idiots EVERY time they get sloppy with the terminology.
It’s clearly deliberate, to confuse the unknowing, who would not have an opinion either way if they were not being lied to.
This reminds me of the frequent and documented instances of MSM showing semi-auto being fired but dubbing in a full-auto sound track!
And guess who owns the real deal “Assault Weapons”?
Very WEALTHY Americans, the ones who could and should be writing big donation checks ONLY to those who will defend our RKBA from wanna-be dictators like this jerk.

The only way they get our guns is to destroy the whole constitution, which is probably the true goal.
In District of Columbia v. Heller, Scalia mentioned in his majority opinion that firearms “in common use” could not legally be prohibited.
So let’s promote AR-15s and make them even more common. In spite of the information in the following, Democrats will say the figure only amounts to a small percentage of the total population.

BS. Well, BS in the guise of thinly veiled truth. Sure, they don't want to take away law abiding citizens' firearms. However, they have a plan to make it nearly impossible, or outright impossible for a law abiding citizen to own a firearm. It is classic leftist double-speak. "Sure, law abiding citizens can keep their firearms." Unsaid is that is only as long as the firearm meets ridiculous requirements - outlawing all but the most ineffectual rifles and shotguns - forget handguns. Also unsaid is that the requirements to obtain permission to be a "law abiding" firearm owner will be nearly, or actually, unworkable. Hence we'll all be criminals, all be outside the law, all fall outside their "law abiding citizen" definition and hence ... yes, they are coming for our guns.
As a retired journalist (advertising), I am continually dumbfounded why the NRA uses the term ‘gun violence’. They surrendered another battlefield and played perfectly into the hands of the communists. Guns don’t commit violence—people do. And it’s all the result of America turning its back on Christian values IMHO.

The rhetoric is reaching the boiling point. I feel like we’re being manipulated to react instead of take thoughtful, logical action to neutralize these rabid comments. The only way to win the game is NOT to play. Just ignore this man.
Look at the Demonrats backpedaling furiously from Irish Bob O’Rourke. His only crime was telling the truth about Demonrat plans for gun owners. Except gang members— Demonrats don’t plan to take their guns. Just NRA types. You know, terrorists, as the San Fran Board of Supervisors voted to call us.
