Thanks for not stealing this for your blog but I don’t
think this qualifies as news. Really don’t. Cheers.
Recycling is impossible without lots of inexpensive energy.
To be pro-recycling but anti-nuclear is profoundly illogical and self-contradictory.
We don’t even know how to dispose of nuclear waste safely.
Nuclear power feels like a little kid behind the wheel of a Lamborghini in a crowded plaza.
...Because there is not nearly enough highly radioactive water pouring into the Pacific Ocean?
Nuke power == Stranded asset.
The BrLP guys are making progress harnessing the process of taking the electron in a Hydrogen atom to a _lower_ than the ‘assumed’ ground state (as presently assumed/defined in QM).
Their latest vids show a calorimetry test in progress:
Time compressed (actual elapsed time = 1 hour) run in 120 gal water tank

Using calculators on this page, I estimate power (energy production rate) to be at least (well over?) 40 kW (which is nothing to sneeze at). 40 kW is one big water heater (166 Amps on a 240 V circuit.)
https://bloglocation.com/art/water-heating-calculator-for-time-energy-power
Assumptions:
1) 120 gal tank = 454 L (per video notes)
2) 1 Hour (per video notes)
3) End temp assumed 210 deg F (calculators do not assume steam or heat loss)
4) No steam production
Note: If water temp is 210 deg F at the 1 min mark (about 2/3 of the way through a 1 hr video) power output is closer to 60 kW.
Input “fuel” is basically 2 ounces of water’s worth of hydrogen instead of approx. 1.5 gallons of gasoline.
Like it or not centralized power is going away
All of this going to be needed when theres enough solar panels and batteries out there is a small natural gas speaker plans of 40 to 60 MW every few square miles
Inverter technology is unparalleled and my inverter put out much higher quality power that does the utility on a long-term basis
Were talking about 100 years here so none of us will see all this go down
Theres really no point in building anymore nuclear plants Albeit they are safe , and for the greenhouse morons it doesnt produce any CO2
Theres no work no point in building any power plants larger than say about 1 to 5 MW now
Facilities that need large amounts of power should just generate their own power using natural gas generation
I have no idea why people are against nuclear energy. It is absolutely one of the great inventions of our time.
JoMa
There we go, and suburbs would be the best places for nuclear power plants, especially HOA neighborhoods. Homer Simpson wouldn’t need to commute to the ghetto to get to work.
Coal fired steam is the only way to go! Besides, we’d get to wear those cool goggles and leather overcoats, boots and gloves.
It works, it’s clean, it can supply abundant energy.
That’s why the left hates it.
And the top hats! Don’t forget the top hats!
