Ford has opened a new customer contact center in Houstons Chinatown, bringing approximately 200 jobs to the area so far and more to come over the next year.
Elena Ford, Ford Motor Companys chief customer experience officer and Henry Fords great-great-granddaughter, and other officials were at the center on Corporate Drive on Monday, Sept. 9, for a ribbon cutting and celebration.
Were here to talk about ownership experience and how were going to make it worry-free and much easier for our customers and to build and deepen our customer relationships over time, Ford said. And weve already doubled our investment in delivering best-in-class customer experiences, which we know will increase trust and loyalty to Ford. And that means in addition to designing great products, were reimagining and redefining customer experience at every touch point that customers have with us.
She said it was particularly important to Ford that the customer contact center be placed in Texas with the best agents available.

Where are they gonna get that many Asian Indians in Houston?................
I don’t know what it is now, but it was awesome. My dad worked for Ford Aerospace when they started work on the Hubble Telescope. He grabbed a Ford/Mercury Cougar so cheap he still talks about it. I was able to get a Ford Exploder for a good deal when at another company that had an employee discount with Ford. Great for Houston (my hometown)
Look at the photo at the link. Are those Indians in the background of the ribbon-cutting ceremony?
It’s Houston, everyone will have accents so thick with their native Spanish most white or black Americans won’t be able to understand a word.
BTW, is there some rule that Spanish speaking people have to spit out the words at 10,000 rpm’s?
Oh yeah... it will be Press 1 for Spanish, 2 for English, and 3 for Spanglish.
4 for India Indians.
Well, they’re dark Indians.............
Sweeeeeet.
“Oh yeah... it will be Press 1 for Spanish, 2 for English, and 3 for Spanglish.”
In reality its all Spanglish. All the time.
I have had to go through two or three Spanish speaking speed talkers then demand a native English speaker. Finally getting someone who grew up speaking English ONLY usually takes an hour.
Same Ford that just had their bond rating downgraded to junk status. Probably pays a good yield if one was so inclined to take a chance
Ford has a chief customer experience officer?
Is that a fancy name for a car salesman.
The CCEO is Henry Fords great-great-granddaughter Elena Ford.
