I can’t believe I’m saying this but it may be time for you to try the Linux operating system to see if your problem if an OS related problem or a HP Laptop hardware problem.

There are windows friendly versions that can run from a USB drive. One of the Linux gurus here can probably lead you through it.

Microsoft is killing themselves with trying to come up with a all encompassing operating system.

Me, I’m sticking with my Windows 7 until they pry it from my cold dead hands. Too bad that’s not an option for you.
