Iced coffee season used to have a very clear demarcation: The day you swapped out your paper for plastic (cup) and your steamed milk for chilled. Usually this laid-back, low-fuss changeover coincides with the warming of the weather. But with the spread of high-octane and flavorful variants such as cold brewcoffee made through a process that involves steeping grounds in cold waterits easy to let the season last all year. Besides, as hot coffee has become more luxe, its about time iced coffee catch up. And if you craft your chilled coffee at home, with one of these seven handsome appliances, you no longer have to wonder if the barista just made your drink from yesterdays hot stuff. Wed recommend switching to a reusable cup.

A gallon Mason jar, lid, and some paper coffee filters...cost under 10 bucks. The listed machines cost upward of 200 dollars. That’s alot of glasses of iced coffee even at 6 bucks a glass. I just dump grounds in cold water and put the lid on. Set it in the fridge for a day then filter it. Tastes great!
I may try that. My current recipe: make coffee, leave it in the pot, drink it at whatever temperature it is until it is finished.
Great tip, thanks
I brew strong hot coffee, then pour over a glass of ice.
The hot coffee only melts a bit of ice, leaving a glass of ice cold coffee with ice cubes.
this is what I use
Works great I bought another mason jar..
Best Iced coffe
We buy Stok from Publix. You can find it near the refrigerated creamers (it is also refrigerated). Not inexpensive but the best ice coffee I’ve had.
Same here...my brother alertef us to it and now there are always a couple bottles in the fridge. Still make my own though. If I use good coffee my home made tastes pretty good too.
The advertisement says there is less acid in the resulting coffee. Have you ever tried heating up coffee made this way and comparing it to hot coffee made the regular way?
