"People Who Disapproved Of Trump Were One Of His Biggest Constituencies"

During an interview with RJ Eskow on "The Zero Hour," writer and host of the new "Useful Idiots" podcast Matt Taibbi warned that Donald Trump could very well win in 2020, pointing out that a large portion of people who voted for him in 2016 said they did not "approve" of him.

"Trump ended up doing extremely well with voters who considered both choices unfavorable. Roughly one in five registered voters in November 2016 disapproved of both Clinton and Trump. And Trump won those voters by nearly a two-to-one margin. So people who disapproved of Donald Trump were one of his biggest constituencies," he explained. "If anything, he is doing better than he was doing at this stage in the race last time."

MATT TAIBBI: I think people should be concerned [that Trump could win again in 2020] because the same basic analytical error that we saw in 2016, one that I made myself, is happening again.

When I first covered Donald Trump, my initial reaction to him was, 'Wow, if you watch the reaction to him on the campaign trail and ignore the polls and just watch the way people responded to him, you would say this person is a very serious threat to win the presidency.' My first story about him said that he was a very serious threat, and I very early on pegged him to win the nomination, and then because he was attracting such enormous crowds, and he was scoring in a lot of ways with a lot of different types of people.

This time around President Trump has results on his side.
You don’t have to like everything about the guy to see them.

This is hilarious. They have nothing but triggered, unhinged, pathological lunatics running against Trump, but somehow it’s still Trump’s fault.

Yeah everyone hates President Trump, and that’s why tens of thousands of people show up to all his rallies wherever he goes. There is always a sell out too.

Democrats get no where near the numbers President Trump gets but we are suppose too believe they are more popular than President Trump.

FAKE NEWS... They are the enemy of this country. Bought out by communist China.

Kinda like when I bought a house one time. I didn’t really like the real estate agent but I used him because several people told me he would work hard to find a buyer for your present house and was the best negotiator for buying a new one. The ability to get results “trumps” most emotional reasons when it’s going to affect YOUR life or pocketbook.

And I'm one of them. I disliked Donald Trump's persona in 2016, and I suspect I'll dislike him still in 2020. The problem last time is that Hillary scared the willies out of me, with the policy positions she and her party buddies took. It was a choice of "bad" or "worse".

Looking forward to 2020 and the current crop of Presidential candidates, all I can say is "here we go again; I have a BAD feeling about this."

Clothespin ready for Election Day.

They have no clue what’s about to hit them.

Sit back and enjoy the show.

It’s not about that, I suspect, but style. This is pretty foolish. Sometimes you need a priest and sometimes you need a warfighter. Anyone who still believes the left can be defeated with normal politicians like it’s 20 years ago is out to lunch.

I could care less about his persona. Not sure why people get stuck on that instead of the substance.

So when he goes off feeding the democrats on gun control and hesitates on getting the Russia Collusion criminals prosecuted, or hesitates on China tariffs , dragging it in agony spooking markets, instead of going full steam ahead right away, I see a Trump having a case of the wobbly of needy feeling toward his opponents when none of them want any debate but shear recruitment.

Better yet, help me raise $1,000,000 for the campaign.

I will be glad if the fire department responds quickly to my call.

I will praise and encourage them while they spray down my home.

I will not care if they are a bunch of foul-mouthed louts or serial adulterers when they're off duty-- or even if they're telling each other "Get some f***g water on that sh*t" during the blaze..

If I perceive that they are making headway and may actually succeed in saving it, I will take (shall we say) negative notice if a bunch of otherwise morally upright arsonists come along and try to stop them.

That's where I am with PDJT.

From the John Wayne movie “Big Jake.”

Martha McCandles (Maureen O’Hara) : It is I think going to be a very harsh and unpleasant kind of business and will I think require an extremely harsh and unpleasant kind of man to see to it.

Crass or corrupt? Most of us vote for crass.

Triggering or totalitarian? Again, President Trump wins as we vote for him and his triggering tweets.

Showman or shrew? Once more, even those who find showmanship annoying prefer it over a parody of the world’s most bitter and vindictive shrewish ex-wife.

Taibbi is a raging lefty, but he was one of the very few that didn’t go all in on the Russia scam.

After the Mueller report came out and he said “I warned you about this” the lefties turned on him hard.

Folks do not want there lives upended and disrupted.
They do not want their opinions mis represented.

Because of Barry Soetoro, folks lift a wet finger into the air and determine which way the wind blows. They give the politically correct answer.

Then they go to the privacy of a voting booth and vote Trump
