This piece ignores the most obvious fact: that it isn’t about climate at all. Vacations are targeted because the elite do not think that the riff-raff should have the right to enjoy travel. Being clearly superior, only the elite have the right to live in nice houses in good neighborhoods and take fancy vacations, etc. If the riff-raff also live in decent houses in safe neighborhoods, take vacations, and generally have a good standard of living, then the superiority of the elite is not as obvious. Conversely, the worse off normal people are, the better the elites can enjoy their superiority.

I admit...I committed ecocide yesterday when I used my gas-guzzling, CO2-belching lawnmower to slaughter thousands of poor little defenseless green* O2-generating grasslets that were doing nothing more than trying to save the planet with their emissions of life-giving oxygen. After all, it WAS Labor Day.

Well, many of of us have been mocking the climate change agitators for years.
I don't take any of what they say seriously at all. Over a decade ago, I was at a happy-hour function at a place in Arizona with mostly friends.
My dentist was there with his new wife, who was going on and on about how bad climate change was, as she explained sanctimoniously how much she did to reduce her carbon footprint.
Then she made the mistake of announcing her and my friend, her new husband were flying to Europe on a delayed honeymoon. I laughed out loud at her about her carbon footprint exploding with those plane flights. She didn't have an answer and she has never spoken to me since.
Mocked her good, worthy of her foolishness.
I’ve noticed an increasing number of articles posted on Cruise Critic (Think Freerepublic only about cruising) on the environmental impacts of cruising. Looks like the environmentalists are beginning to attack vacations.
Look at Paris, Venice, London. Full and overfull with uncultured barbarians. The nobility can't actually ban vacation travel, but they can convince the stupids that it's a bad idea.

Even more risible than the climate scams is the idea that the rich “elite” of today, such as all the Hollyweirdos, the British “royal” family and 99.9% of the politicians and pundits are cultured. They are all a load of boorish, ill-mannered, badly educated or downright stupid philistines.
