You raise a good point, but I don’t think demographics is the biggest factor in this trend. I’ve been saying for years that URBANIZATION is the single biggest factor influencing the underlying political trend in this country. This explains Democrats do so well along wealthy WHITE voters in major metro areas.

That's part of it. The other part is women not getting married. Unwed mothers over-whelmingly vote Democrat.
