I stumbled on to this conversation and it prompted me to search the internet to see what his paintings were like. I’m not knowledgeable about art, but I liked what I saw. The comments about Kincaide and how he did his work were very interesting.
Here, too. I’m no art snob - I’ll leave that to the hoity-toity, champagne and caviar types - but I know what is pleasant to the eye. (Mind you, that’s coming from someone who could buy a paint-by-numbers kit in the craft section at Walmart and screw it up.) It’s just a shame that he was apparently such a shifty, Jeckyl and Hyde type. It still doesn’t mean I won’t hang his ornaments on one of our Christmas trees, though. The way I see it, he already got my money. No reason not to enjoy them.
