But I do find the “needs more information” thing regarding the autopsy to be comical

This is a medicolegal autopsy of extreme importance.

It is normal for autopsies to take up to two months to be completed. It is certain that tissue slides are just coming out today. It is certain that toxicology to exclude substantial contributing causes will not be available until the end of the month.

That the ME "needs more information" before certifying the cause and means of death is also a certainty.

Ah, I wish they wouldn’t insult us with all of this. We all know what happened. They don’t even Pretend to care to show us that they can get anybody at any time, anywhere.

They are NOT insulting us.

It is a demonstration and a warning.

Well, I’m glad you brought that up.

Suppose he WAS found hanging by a bedsheet.

The ME has to establish whether or not he was alive or dead when the body was suspended. The ME has to determine if he was sedated prior to the hanging. The ME has to exclude brain pathology, and the brain isn’t even fixed (in formalin) yet.

All of the procedures going on at the Chief Medical Examiner’s office are normal. Now, do they work to this level of detail for every junkie found dead with a needle in his neck? Of course not.

But to they have to “do everything” in a case like this?

You betcha.

Needs more information must be for drugs in his system

And formalin-fixed brain sections, and microscopic anatomy of the heart, lungs, and liver, as well as of any skin leaions. Drug levels in brain and spinal cord. Etc.

There's a SHIT TON of stuff they have to do, and in a case like this it has to be right and it has to be provable.

Trump could always use the ‘I did not know anything about it until I read about it in the newspaper’ excuse...….

The Left knows that a long, long time ago, Trump said something mildly nice about Epstein.

I'm convinced that Trump's intent behind that "Epstein likes them young" comment was not mildly nice....he was signaling what kind of guy this was.

Damning with faint praise kinda thing....that's my read anyway.

If the autopsy is waiting on toxicology reports, then the whole cover story of "hanging with a bedsheet" is blown.

Not necessarily.

A bedsheet around the neck may create an appearance of suicide but the examiner needs to consider all evidence which includes knowing what drugs and/or poisons may have been in the person's system before a cause of death can be established.

Kennedy died for one reason only....

He was a non-instrument rated pilot flying in instrument conditions.

Mass spectroscopy doesn’t take much time to run a specimen. At maximum, if you run liquid chromatography with mass spec your looking at less than an hour. Now if you have a special case, you may want to re-calibrate the machine just for that specimen so at most you’re looking at one day.

I would hope that they used a second laboratory as a check. Of course, sample custody can be compromised at any time during collection to running the sample.

Transportation and handling is the thing that takes the most time, but they would have priority here.

Lots of room for government chicanery no doubt anywhere in the process; that’s what takes time.

Well it’s an effective one.

Few want to die young unless it is a very worthy cause.

If for some strange reason i had knowledge that could sink these guys for their goings on with under age girls, I woudn’t say a word.

Cowardly, yes.

But why lie here?

Coming soon, “This just in. The coroner announced today that the body of Jefferey Epstein was accidentally cremated yesterday when it was mistakenly confused with that of a tiny black Jewish woman. Authorities have vowed to get to the bottom of this and those responsible will be punished. (Snicker, snort tee hee!) Sorry, according to my producer, I wasn’t supposed to laugh there at the end.”

His lawyers requested he be taken off suicide watch. Suicide watch is limited to 2 to 10 days.

First time, people were outraged he had a cellmate. This time, people are outraged he didn’t have a cellmate. Make up your minds.

He was by himself in the cell probably a dozen times during the week. Cellmates come and go constantly throughout the day. Ok, this particular one legitimately made bail or whatever. Or was let out intentionally. We’ll never know. But inmates are always out of their cells for various reasons such as going to the hospital, going to therapy, had a visitor, his lawyer wanted to talk to him at 3 am, for recreation, watching tv, in the day room plotting against child molesters, in class, working their jobs, etc.

It was reported yesterday the others didn’t hear nuffin’.

The screaming and yelling was supposed to have been the guards yelling for him to wake up and breathe.

There’s no drugs in prison? Hahahahaha! Don’t kid yourself that he couldn’t have paid to have drugs brought in to him just like any other inmate.
