I cannot disable cortana now and i bought the computer two months ago.

I am actully in the market for a new computer and OS. I am done with Windows MS after 30 plus years

I want an operating system like Win 7 and with upgrades for seamless media

I want a mail handler like outlook 2003

I want a Word proccesser like Word 2003

Actually something like the 2003 whole office package on a win 7 with media upgrades works for me.

That is all

I would have been fine with that too. We actually have Win 7 Pro and Office 2010 at home, primarily because both my work and my wife's at the time had "upgraded" to it. It was the main reason why we had Windows based PCs at home, because of work.

Now that both of us are retired, there is much less of a need to stay on the upgrade path, but the lack of security updates on Win 7 Pro starting in January 2020 is going to force the issue.

Two years ago I gave my Windows 10 laptop with Office 365 to my husband for his astronomy photography. I bought a refurbished Windows 7 on Amazon, which had 2T added to it, and has (knock on wood) been wonderful, fast, and dependable.

I have original CDs of the old MS Office 2003 — Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and all tools. The CDs live in our safety deposit box, and when we relocate they’re in my carry-on luggage. IF I knew how you could find this, I’d let you know since I feel your pain. All versions after 2003 are not user friendly (IMHO). Fie on “the ribbon”!

I guess Windows 7 will no longer receive upgrades in a few months, but it’s still happening for now. And long ago MS stopped supporting Office 2003 so if I’m looking for a certain template for a project, “that page no longer exists”.
